I just wanted to pause on this lovely Friday to pay homage to one of the most delicious things I have ever encountered; the Catchafaz alfajor.  Now I don’t consider myself a sweets guy, in fact I’m more inclined to eat another hamburger than take part in dessert.  But this alfajor is different.  While some people would argue that Havanna has the best alfajores, I disagree.  The dulce de leche has the perfect consistency and the chocolate is just right.  There is but one champion of the alfajores and in my (not so) humble opinion Catchafaz takes the cake!
