Roadie Gabi is becoming a master at Argentine wines and foods!

Where do you intern in Buenos Aires (what does the organization do): My organization organizes wine tastings, sells and ships wine and owns a wine club.

Describe a typical day in your wine internship: I start at 1, see how many people are coming for the tasting and assist with tasting; by helping prepare foods, and cleaning. If there isn’t a big group then I do wine research for blogs, or competitors in the industry, I also post on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The most interesting thing you’ve done as an intern: The best day so far has been the day me and my fellow intern had to go and taste the top three held places in Buenos Aires, that same day, we had a picnic at the park with a bottle of wine, for my wine review blog post. Pretty great day 🙂

The greatest challenge you’ve faced in Argentina: the greatest challenge so far has been living in a huge city and not knowing the language that well, it’s a big cultural shock at first, to me at least.

The most valuable thing you’ve learned: The most valuable thing I have learned is to never say no to opportunities that you don’t know what is going to happen, the best part of being abroad is to knowing or judging anything, I had no clue I would love a city so much.

Your favorite memory in Argentina: My favorite memory so far has been going out with my coworkers on the weekends.

Your goal before leaving: My goal before leaving is to get better at spanish, and to be a master at argentine wines and foods!

Advice to future Roadies: My biggest tip is to never stay in, even if your tired or its raining. ALWAYS explore and go out. You don’t always have to do crazy things, but there is so much to see in the city, that there is no room for sleep. Sleep when you go back home.
